Well, this post is long overdue! After a busy week and a very fun weekend, I'm back. This weekend we checkout out Uptown in Dallas with a few friends - it was our first time down there and we had a blast!

Memorial Day weekend means BBQ's, sunshine and taking a moment to say thank you to those who fight for us to do these things! I plan to spend the weekend by the pool refueling for the week!

Currently Craving : Vacation Looks

Happy Monday - the day that tells all about the rest of your week! This week I'm getting ready for a much needed vacation to the Bahamas, by cruise-ship. Being a 'non-cruisey' person, I'm just looking forward to some relaxation and a tan - and those few days at the beach!

The Summer Bag

Things are finally heating up around here and I think we all know that means an adjustment to our daily routines. 

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Crayons : The holy grail of lip color in hot, humid heat. It's not thick or cakey and definitely lasts!

Clinique High Impact Mascara : I don't like fussing over makeup unless its for a night out or a date. This mascara literally gives you the most amazing coverage in max. two sweeps. The waterproof version is great for summer days, although, I stick to the non-waterproof kind for all other occasions!
Two-Faced Pink Leopard Blushing Bronzer : This adds a summer bronze and a spring blush. Not too heavy and doesn't make you look orange, I use this almost every day. 
Origins VitaZing Tinted Moisturizer : The only 'face makeup' I use other than a little bronzer. I don't use concealer, foundation or anything else! This gives you a great sheen and covers any little imperfections, while still not being heavy. I've talked about it // here // and still am in love with it. 
Evian Mineral Water Spray : Okay guys, everyone needs this for humid, hot, Texas heat (or any other type of heat). It's a face spray, that doesn't get you sopping wet, but is so refreshing, and keeps your makeup in tact. Does it get any better than that?

Currently Craving : Warmer Weather

Okay, I think it's finally time for shorts. At least this week it is, just in time for Gap's selected 50% off sale - does it get any better than that!? When I was browsing their website the other night, like every other night, I was so happy that sweatshirts are hanging around for spring. I've been living in them lately and am so glad that they're now 'chic' (similar to the 'pajama' trend that we all decided was chic a few months ago). 

Currently Craving : Spring Style

Spring weather is right around the corner and I cannot wait! I'm currently mid-move from sunny San Diego to Dallas and am cleaning out ALOT. Naturally, this means I'm on the hunt for some new finds to add to my wardrobe - especially since San Diego and Dallas have two VERY different climates.

Valentine's Day seems to be everyones favorite day of the year. From chocolates to flowers and everything in between, it really comes down to more than just the gifts.

Today is a very Happy Monday - for more reasons than one! New York Fashion Week is already in full swing and amazing pieces seem to be everywhere..(with a few questionable looks every now and then too). So far pastels, neons and bold patterns are taking over the runways and will soon be making their way into our closets. I never turn down a good pastel or a solid neutral which is why I really believe that Rebecca Minkoff & Marissa Webb really just 'get it'.

Currently Craving: Birthday Wishes

So now that the holiday's have come and gone, it's my second favorite time of the year - my birthday. Mainly because of how special everyone makes it but also because I get to pick out some goodies that I've had my eye on and spoil myself! I feel like my birthday just passed and it's really crazy to look back at the year and everything I've accomplished! I absolutely cannot wait to start this next year that will include a very new chapter opening as well as some very big changes, but more on that later!

Currently craving : sleep. Lately sleeping seems to be a thing of the past - between working and taking on some new freelance jobs, I have my work cut out for me. Last night I decided to take some time to unwind and finally have some 'me time'!
