Everyday Emmy's Style

So the red carpet last night was absolutely on point. The dresses for the Emmy's are always so gorgeous, I think most of us watch to see what everyone will wear (am I right, or am I right??). Last night was no exception and these are a few of my absolute favorite looks. As we all drool over how beautiful everyone was, I thought it'd be fun to do a little mixing and matching so we can look Emmy worthy more than just once a year! The Fresh Start

The Mini Mis-hap

So mini skirts. Basically, they go one of two ways... you love them or you hate them, or you have such a love hate relationship you never wear them. I was that last one, until I decided to give them a chance for a hot minute. Best. Minute. Ever. I did the whole mini skirt thing with a tee this weekend and it was THE best decision. I think what I love the most is that mini skirts can really be worn with anything. Let me know what you guys think! xo!

Happy Monday! After the long weekend, Monday seems almost refreshing! Lately, I've been coming across some awesome blogs that have provided some great sources of inspiration. This month seems to be the month of the 'neon bag'. With summer in full swing, we're all craving bright colors, sunshine and cool outfits!

Currently Craving : Vacation Looks

Happy Monday - the day that tells all about the rest of your week! This week I'm getting ready for a much needed vacation to the Bahamas, by cruise-ship. Being a 'non-cruisey' person, I'm just looking forward to some relaxation and a tan - and those few days at the beach!

I'm Back!

The time change seems to have gotten the best of us, from our blog to our instagram accounts, everyone is playing the catch-up game today. I, however, am playing the catch-up game from more than a week ago. We packed up and moved back to Texas, exactly a week ago today, and hectic only begins to describe it! But, now I'm back to blogging and won't be leaving for that long any time again soon!

Late Night Pins

Pinterest has to be the #1 most addicting place to go to at night when you have 100 other things to do before you can call it a day. So - that is why I'm sitting here on Pinterest at 10PM looking at my to-do list and ...pinning (naturally).

Late Night Inspiration | 02.

The Superbowl definitely took over social media tonight. From Instagram pictures to live-stream tweets, everyone gave their take on the game that was a little more than grueling to watch. I'm not much of a Bruno fan and was less than impressed with the half time show too - especially after last years Queen B performance, which we can take a minute to indulge in here. So while everyone was trying to keep track of how many touchdowns the Seahawks kept piling up, I was catching up on this weeks blogs and browsing the web for this weeks deals. 

Monday Pin-spiration

Happy Monday y'all! While the East coast is going through Polar Vortex III, in California, we have sunny skies and high temps! This weather is getting to my head and my obsession with these bright colors. When I saw this quote on pinterest last night, I decided that I really need to start remembering this - life is too short to not love every part of it. Here's to a great week for everyone! xo!

Late Night Inspiration | 01.

The one thing that I love about moving is a chance to start fresh with basically everything. I think I have moved enough the past 4 years to that I can pinpoint the places I've lived with a certain style. I had the black and white bedroom that was very 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'. Then there was the blush colored room with my dark furniture and soft grey's (one of my favorites). The next year I definitely slacked in the 'bedroom' and apartment decor field.. we won't even discuss that bedroom. This year was the year of the white bedroom, with my soft grey touches and dark chocolate brown throw furs. With this next looming move, I think I definitely want to start focusing on making my apartment as a whole beautiful..not just my bedroom hideaway! I'm getting a head start with some late night pin-teresting for some fresh ideas! xo!  Image one | Image two | Image three | Image four

Currently Craving : Sleep

Currently craving : sleep. Lately sleeping seems to be a thing of the past - between working and taking on some new freelance jobs, I have my work cut out for me. Last night I decided to take some time to unwind and finally have some 'me time'!

I think it's safe to say that this color palette is slowly taking over in the land of Pinterest. It seems that everyone wants this new year to be filled with light, soft and earthy colors - which definitely helps if you're trying to create a year full of zen >> like yours truly <<.
