Current Must-Haves | 01.

Lately I have been into really subtle make up looks. With summer in TX still blazing hot, it's important to find a way to wear makeup without looking or feeling like you're melting. It sounds easier than it is people because 105 degree heat does something crazy to your skin and make up! These are a few of my most recent must haves - enjoy! XO - B
EcoTools make up brushes - I have the multi use brush and the powder brush. They feel amazing and are easy to clean and maintain. I would recommend getting a set - they last forever and aren't expensive! I use them to put on my foundation and bronzer.
MaryKay CC Cream in Light/Medium - So I got this product from a friend and was a little iffy about it at first. I have to say after using it for a few weeks, I absolutely love it. You can see it's really creamy yet once blended, it leaves a slightly dewy yet matte finish that lasts. It isn't full coverage but enough to stay for the day and not melt away in this heat.
Loreal lip gloss - Just enough pigment to help you pull off the 'natural lip' look. Goes on smooth and doesn't leave you with lips that stick together. I love this baby pink color that looks great with a tan or over a nude lipstick.
Alex and Ani energy bracelets - Ok so these have been my go to lately with jewelry. I love that they offer pieces with stories behind them. You can pick a piece and then add meaningful charms, which I love. My gold bracelet has my birthstone, garnet and the silver one stands for strength, motivation and hope throughout your path of life. More about them here!

The Summer Bag

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Crayons : The holy grail of lip color in hot, humid heat. It's not thick or cakey and definitely lasts!
Clinique High Impact Mascara : I don't like fussing over makeup unless its for a night out or a date. This mascara literally gives you the most amazing coverage in max. two sweeps. The waterproof version is great for summer days, although, I stick to the non-waterproof kind for all other occasions!
Two-Faced Pink Leopard Blushing Bronzer : This adds a summer bronze and a spring blush. Not too heavy and doesn't make you look orange, I use this almost every day.
Origins VitaZing Tinted Moisturizer : The only 'face makeup' I use other than a little bronzer. I don't use concealer, foundation or anything else! This gives you a great sheen and covers any little imperfections, while still not being heavy. I've talked about it // here // and still am in love with it.
Evian Mineral Water Spray : Okay guys, everyone needs this for humid, hot, Texas heat (or any other type of heat). It's a face spray, that doesn't get you sopping wet, but is so refreshing, and keeps your makeup in tact. Does it get any better than that?

The Perfect Pink

Up until recently, I never wore anything other than Aquaphor on my lips. Maybe an occasional gloss but most products tend to dry my lips out and leave them feeling awful... The struggle. When I found these lip butters I decided to give them a try and venture down the road to becoming a lipstick wearing lady.

What's in my Bag | 01.

What's in my bag | 01. A new series that will show what's happening on the inside! This week, I'm showing you guys my 'basic' essentials! First of all, let me talk about my Baggu. If you guys haven't heard of Baggu yet, check them out here! They make the cutest leather goods and I am obsessed, seriously. The small one is perfect to throw in your purse with a lip stain, some mascara and a few cards or use it as a phone case!
Now for the make-up - for as long as I can remember, I've had skin more sensitive than a babies bottom. Seriously, make-up is a hassle for me, and not the kind of hassle where you stand at Ulta debating what new foundation you're gonna try. I mean hassle as in, researching products, trying new things and constantly having some sort of 'soothing' lotion on standby.
